World concert touring logistics demand constant communication and coordination between travel arrangements and freight forwarding.  There is an elegant symmetry to the fact that Air Apparent, the preeminent company responsible for keeping rock and rollers traveling the world in style while on extended world tours, actually originated with a series of phone calls between friends in freight and travel.  Joel Bernstein, in the early 70's was the photographer for Crosby Stills Nash & Young and called his brother David to get the band of out of a freight and travel jam.  The Bernstein family had a history in the traditional freight forwarding business and David met the challenge and saved the band from missing a critical show.  With rock and roll exploding onto the scene at the time and seeing the need for such time-sensitive international logistics for musical tours, David spun-off from the family business creating Rock-It Cargo, USA, Inc.   Rock- It, now the dominant force in logistical services to the music and entertainment touring business. 

David then called on his longtime friends, Andy and Donna Dietz to provide the travel arrangements for the bands. With the Dietz’s expertise in travel and Bernstein’s logistical expertise, an idea was formed whereby the two companies would combine forces to enable the band, the entire entourage, the equipment and the stage, to all travel together in synchronicity as one.  From one gig to the next, without missing a beat, year after year; pioneering the art of the multi-venue world tour, as we now know it. 

Air Apparent was formed to cater to artists and performers and their every travel need, and since CSN&Y has grown to handle such leading performers as: the Eagles, Elton, Bowie, Queen, ZZ-TOP, Jimmy Buffett, Michael Jackson, NSync, Bryan Adams and many many more. Through years of experience handling the "high-maintenance", Air Apparent has earned a worldwide reputation for providing outstanding tour packages and travel services and has been awarded many honors by industry publications and even recognition on albums from Neil Young to Aerosmith. The outreach of the company has since spanned the globe, assisting production managers and coordinating the tour travel of literally hundreds of leading performers and their entourages.  This pioneering effort has allowed entertainers and groups to reach international audiences as prior there were no freight services or travel agencies that bundled these services. Together Air Apparent and Rock-It Cargo created a reputation for impeccable freight and travel performance, whereby hand-in-hand they met the needs of this most demanding clientele, to keep you rocking --  never missing a show!
